SmartEvals Links in Learn Ultra

The SmartEvals course evaluation link appears by default in the base navigation Tools menu. While SmartEval emails and reminders include a link to login, when accessed through Blackboard, SmartEvals automatically authenticates users based on their Blackboard login credentials.

Make sure your SmartEvals Course Content link is Visible to students two weeks before reading day for traditional semesters and two weeks before the last day of the term for online classes. The response period will close before instructors begin to upload final grades and cannot be reopened.

There are three primary ways to access and add the SmartEvals links in Learn Ultra:

Base navigation: Tools menu
Details & Actions: Books & Tools
Course Content: Content Market

Tools

The SmartEvals Course Evaluations link is available for students and faculty from Tools in base navigation.

Books & Tools

The SmartEvals Course Tool is available from the Details & Actions menu.

From the Details & Actions menu, under Books & Tools, select View course & institution tools.

From SmartEvals Course Tool, click the + add icon to add SmartEvals to your Course Content.

Click the + add icon to add the SmartEvals Course Tool to your Course Content. Click the SmartEvals Course Tool words/logo to access the tool.

Content Market

The SmartEvals Course Tool is available to add to your course from the Content Market.

From Course Content, click the + add icon in the desired location, then select Content Market. Scroll down to the SmartEvals Course Tool and click the + add icon to add the SmartEvals Course Tool.

Edit the Name and Description

You can edit the SmartEvals name and description to customize your Course Content.

Instruct students to complete their SmartEvals Course Evaluations from Blackboard base navigation Tools menu or from your Course Content link.

Once you’ve added SmartEvals to your Course Content, you can click on the link and copy the URL from your browser to link SmartEvals in Announcements and Messages.

Add course links from the rich text editor, such as Ultra documents, announcments, etc.

Coming soon: Calendar Links LTI applications that require user authentication such as SmartEvals can be added to calendar entries. The course Calendar will display links in the course and links will also be displayed in the Calendar accessed from the Ultra base navigation.
