Importing a Test Pool

Pools are sets of questions that can be added to any Test or Survey. Pools are useful for storing questions and reusing them in more than one Test or Survey.

The IMS Global Learning Consortium established the Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) standard to support compatibility between questions and a course, regardless of the learning management system. Questions imported from a QTI package are supported in the Original Course View only.

    2. Create Question Set - Groups of questions that can be presented in a random fashion determined by the instructor.
    3. Create Random Block - A group of questions retrieved from a question pool. Questions are randomly retrieved from the selected question pool based on the question type and the number of questions available in the selected pool
    4. Find Questions - Questions are organized by the Criteria listed on the page. Use the Criteria drop-down lists to search for questions to add to the test.

For this example, select “Create Random Block” to copy selected questions:

  • Select your question Pools
  • Select your Question types, in this example, we selected “Multiple Choice”
  • Preview the questions, then click “Submit”
