Sharing Large Files in Blackboard

Cloud-based storage solutions like the Microsoft OneDrive allow users to access files from any device, while also providing the option to easily share files via a link. This is the preferred method of sharing large files, particularly for course use as it preserves storage space in Blackboard. Start by logging into Office 365 on the MyBeacon page and navigating to the One Drive to view all of your Office 365 files.

💡
A similar process to the one below exists for Google Drive, but OneDrive provides a better experience working with Microsoft files types (.docx, .pptx, etc).

Sharing a link in Ultra

Create a Link or Document to share your OneDrive document in Blackboard. The document can be accessed by all students and updated in real time like a web-based Wiki.

You can add additional content to the document to give more details or instruction to the students.
