    You can copy an entire course and/or select to copy items across multiple courses into an Learn Ultra course shell.

    Copy Content

    You can copy courses or copy items from any course you teach. To copy content, open the Copy Items panel from Course Content area using one of the following options:

    • Click the plus sign in the center of your Course Content to selectΒ Copy Content
    • Click the …ellipsis icon on the right of your Course Content to select Copy Items

    You can also Upload existing content from your desktop and Import Content from your Cloud Storage, Content Market, and Content Collection.

    Converting a course? TheΒ Copy Content option isn't available for courses in Ultra Preview. You must select to Use the Ultra Course before you can copy content.

    Copy Items

    In theΒ Copy ItemsΒ panel, all your courses appear in theΒ list. If you teach many courses, you can Search by name or course ID. You can use the Copy Items panel to select content from one or more courses at a time.

    A checkmark shows you've selected the entire course to copy. A dash indicates you've selected pieces of content from the course.

    When you copy an entire courses’ content, the visibility settings are preserved when the content is added to the new course. When you copy individual items to your course, content default is Hidden from students. Review all copied items to be sure students can see the content you want to show.

    Start Copy

    You can copy all content from one course and a few items from other courses.

    • Select a course's checkbox to copy all of its content into the current course
    • Select a course's name to explore its content and select the checkbox next to the folders and items you want to copy
    • After you finalize your selections, click Start Copy

    Status indicators on theΒ Course Content page show the progress and a success message appears when the action completes.

    You will receive an email when your course copy process is complete.

    Exception Report

    If you have exceptions when copying content, an error appears at the top of theΒ Course Content page.

    • The Exception Report can also be viewed from Course Tasks and Logs

    SelectΒ to view the exceptions created during the copy, import, or conversion process:

    Conversion Details

    For course conversions, exceptions are ranked by priority:

    • Low Priority: Some styling and formatting removed for a consistent appearance
    • Medium Priority: Small changes in features and behavior may impact your course
    • High Priority: Significant changes in features and behavior may impact your course
